The IoT project, a case study of Fidumtec that we present here, is that of the Alarm for Early Prevention and Evacuation of Rivers carried out on the Lujan River, at four points in height, including the jurisdictions of the Municipality of Pilar and Luján, together with the Mano Amiga Foundation and its Mano Amiga Santa María de Pilar College.
We are proud to report on our website that students who had the original idea and participated in this solution received the Initial Kick Award, which allowed them the opportunity to travel to San Francisco, California, USA to present their achievements and the benefit offered. to the community thanks to the project carried out.

Solution Detail:

The sensor, which in turn has an ultrasound sensor located in height, emits a sound towards the water, where it collides and returns, periodically measuring the level of the river. If it rises above normal, an alarm sounds in Civil Defense, preventing neighbors and firefighters.
Our task was mainly to standardize the sensors to be used, train students, work on the IoT solution, on data collection and on the use of the AWS cloud as a place of residence for the information collected on the movement of the River.
